"...Health coaching with Rylie is a true partnership. She is someone who respects your terms and your reasons for wanting — or not wanting — to change, and she shows up for you on that path, so you aren’t alone in walking it. Change is often difficult, even when it’s something we really want, and often it even feels downright impossible.
A huge benefit of health coaching I experienced was having someone in your corner to help you through it, especially on the hardest days. She helped me see that I could overcome, when I was in a place of feeling like everything I had done had failed, and always would. When I was overwhelmed, she made it possible to step back and see the big and daunting tasks seem like manageable things I could make progress towards each day. And more than anything, for me, was the source of validation she emboldened me with each session. “Prior to working with Rylie, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed with daily life. A flatlining career, money woes, poor nutrition, and sleep issues were keeping my stress levels high, and I just didn't feel good about myself. I knew what changes I wanted to make but couldn't seem to get the ball rolling. Rylie was able to get me out of my head and start putting in the work. She asked the tough questions but also held space for me to work through my answers.
Her demeanor is quiet but curious, never judgmental. She has a gentle way of speaking that puts one at ease, like you're talking with a friend who truly has your back. Her choice to lend some of her own experiences to our conversations really validated my feelings and helped me realize that I'm not actually alone in my thoughts and actions- that merely talking through it can make what seemed like an insurmountable obstacle feel more like a molehill.
I knew my biggest hurdle was self-accountability, but our regular sessions kept me on track by initially tapping into my competitive, people-pleaser nature. The fact that I wanted to bring positive results to each session kept me working toward my daily goals. However, Rylie was always supportive and encouraging regardless of how I felt about my progress. She shifted my perspective by expressing her own view of the situation, which was monumental for me to allow myself more grace with what I considered to be severe shortcomings. I'm to the point now where I'm seeing my work start to pay off. With her help I've come up with tools and routines that are sticking, allowing me to be more productive, less judgmental of myself, and helping to take that doom-stress out of my life.
Anyone looking for a gentle yet firm approach to work through their problems will appreciate Rylie's personality and professionalism. She's light-hearted, funny, and engages in conversations that stray off topic but always segues right back to the important questions, oftentimes revealing the truth in the process.
